Nature experiences in Jokkmokk
Jokkmokk offer nature experiences of changing character all year round. The large national parks Sarek, Padjelanta, Stora Sjöfallet and Muddus form, together with several nature reserves, a huge wilderness area with a lot to discover. Mentioned national parks are part of the Laponia area, which in December 1996 was named a World Heritage. The Laponia area was also chosen a combined nature- and cultural heritage, which is unusual.
