How to travel to Jokkmokk

By air
Luleå is serviced by different kind of airlines and is located 180 km southeast of Jokkmokk.  From the airport take the airport bus or taxi to  Luleå bus station.

Gällivare Airport is located 100 km north of Jokkmokk.  Take a taxi from the airport to the Gällivare travel centre.

There are buses that go from both Luleå and Gällivare to Jokkmokk. Check the times carefully with Länstrafiken in Norrbotten so that the bus schedule coincides with the arrival of your airplane.
It does take time to get to the centre, so give yourself plenty of time between the airplane arrival time and your bus departure time.

There are several car rental companies represented at the airports.

Chartered flights can also land at the Arctic Circle Airport in Jokkmokk.

By train
The nearest train station on the main track is Murjek.  From Murjek it takes approximately one hour by bus to Jokkmokk.  Book ”Resplus”, that is to say the whole trip on one ticket so that you do not have to worry about delays.
